Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Their greens fees have gone up this year to $170 on Friday, and $185 on Saturday & Sunday. I paid the $170 on Friday. On every hole the group ahead us were waiting to tee off. We literally waited about 10 minutes to tee off, and another 5 minute wait to hit our 2nd shot. On all par 3s we had wait for them to tee off and play the entire hole, which was another15-20 minute wait. It was beyond frustrating, completely took us out of our rhythm, making it an extremely unpleasant round, and it had nothing to do with the players in front of us. It had everything to do with sending groups out on the heels of the groups in front of them, and poor course play management because we never saw a course manager/ranger. It took us 3 hours & 20 minutes to play only 11 holes, so we walked off to avoid another 2 hours & 30 minutes to play the last 7 holes, which at that pace would have taken 5 hours & 50 minutes to complete the round. The pace of play at that top dollar price is unacceptable. The average round the last year averaged 4 hours & 20 minutes which is borderline bearable, but playable. I've been playing Sea Oaks/LBI National continually for 18 years and will never play it again, nor will

One of the best public courses at the shore! First time playing here and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The property is HUGE, including a separate driving range and chipping/putting green, starter area, convenient halfway house and patios. The clubhouse was re-designed (again) in 2026 and is immaculate. The pro shop didn't have a huge selection, but it did have more high-end clothing and accessories which were really cool. The course itself is gorgeous and every hole unique! I started from #10 so an intimidating par 5 staring you right in the face! Water comes into play on several of the approach shots and the par 3s are varying lengths and strategies, so it tests every golfer's skill set. The tee boxes were mostly in good shape, a few were bare in the common tee areas. The fairways were green and lush and pleasure to hit from. The greens are some of the best in southern NJ, receptive and HUGE. Nothing tricky to the greens here, even after days of 90 degree heat. My only complaint is that on the back 9 (holes 2-5) there are some short par 4s in a row, ranging from 320-365. Not a fan of seeing these clustered together. The starter and staff were all extra friendly and accommo

We got married at LBI National Golf & Hotel in the Lighthouse Ballroom on December 6, 2025, and everything was perfect. Our ceremony, reception, cocktail hour, and after-party all flowed seamlessly. Stephanie coordinated our wedding with exceptional care, even arranging tours since I lived internationally, and Caitlin, our day-of coordinator, was invaluable - always patient, supportive, and professional. Jimmy at the front desk greeted all our guests warmly, and the entire team made us feel so special. The food was incredible, the venue is beautiful, and the hotel is one of the nicest we’ve stayed in. Our suite was spacious and perfect for getting ready. We truly couldn’t recommend LBI National Golf & Hotel enough!

Words cannot truly express my gratitude for the entire LBI National team. My wedding weekend was, without a doubt, the best two days of my life. We held our rehearsal dinner in the Sun Parlor on Saturday night, and it was absolutely perfect. We decided to add it on pretty last minute, and I didn’t want to go overboard with decorations—but honestly, the room was so beautiful it didn’t need much at all. The food was amazing, and Joanne, our bartender, was absolutely lovely—everyone adored her! Caitlin did a fantastic job managing the flow of the evening and preparing us for the big day ahead. I can’t recommend the Sun Parlor enough for a rehearsal dinner or event—it’s stunning and far more affordable than many nearby venues. On our wedding day, Caitlin and her assistant, Carley, were both incredible! Going into it, I thought they’d mostly just direct us when it was time to move from one thing to the next—but I was completely wrong. They were by our sides from the first look through the end of the night, keeping everything organized and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. Carley spent a lot of time with me personally—making sure I had water (or champagne!), helping bu

Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have had Stephanie, Caitlin and the entire LBI National team help plan our dream wedding. Our wedding day was beyond perfection - it truly exceeded all of my expectations! Throughout the entire booking and planning process, both Caitlin and Stephanie were so attentive and responsive to my (many!) questions. On our wedding day, the entire staff was so helpful and truly made us feel so special. All of the details and timeline were executed perfectly. Our guests are still raving about the food, drinks, service and venue! We are so thankful that we booked LBI National - our wedding was a dream come true. We can't wait to come back for years to come to reminisce!!
